The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program is in dire need of an update. The outdated asset limits and benefits levels keep many people with disabilities in poverty, unable to afford to meet basic needs. Congress can fix this in the next COVID relief package. Contact them with our email tool:

My name is [your full name], and I am from [city]. I’m calling to ask Senator/Representative [Name] to make sure that SSI reform is included in the next COVID relief package.
The Supplemental Security Income program must be updated to lift people with disabilities out of poverty. Currently, the lowest income people with disabilities who rely on SSI receive less than $800 a month to live on and cannot have more than $2,000 in savings. That amount has not been updated since 1984.
SSI reform is long overdue. Can I count on the Senator/Representative’s support to make sure this is addressed in the next COVID relief bill?
