This Giving Tuesday, we’re hosting an AntiPhonathon! As you may know, many autistic people hate making phone calls, or cannot make them. That shouldn’t be a barrier to making our voices heard. So this year, ASAN launched our proxy calling system, which allows all members of our community to get involved in advocacy without picking up the phone.
To honor that progress, we will not be calling people on the phone to ask for money this Giving Tuesday. Instead, we’re asking you to help us get the word out on social media. Last year, we raised $8,000-this year, our goal is $10,000!
If we hit our $10,000 goal, we will destroy an old phone to celebrate the fact that we don’t have to make phone calls to make a difference.
