Over the past few weeks, we’ve received an extraordinary response to our upcoming Autism Campus Inclusion Summer Leadership program. We’ve heard from students all over North America who are interested in taking part in this exciting leadership training opportunity – and if we haven’t heard from you yet, there’s still time. As our application deadline of March 30th approaches, it’s clear that we’re setting the stage for an incredibly empowering experience for our community.
In preparation, ASAN has been talking with many different groups, organizations and people to make sure our training (scheduled for August 13-17 in Baltimore, Maryland) will be both educational and empowering for all participants. From hands on leadership training activities to instruction on cutting edge public policy and campus organizing tactics, this week will help set the stage for each of our participants to return to their campuses and be real change agents.
And it won’t stop there – alumni of the ASAN Autism Campus Inclusion Summer Institute will be supported with ongoing technical assistance to help them drive systems change on their own campuses. This is just the beginning – together, we can put in place the change our community needs. Apply today – and I hope to see you in Baltimore!
