A computer display showing the word "Medicaid"

Medicaid is the biggest health care program in the country. It’s an important part of the United States health care system. But a lot of the information out there about Medicaid and attempts to change it can be difficult to understand and navigate. In 2017, the disability community had to fight against proposed cuts to Medicaid, and it’s looking like we’ll be fighting that same battle next year. That’s why ASAN is proud to announce a new webinar all about Medicaid, what we did last time to protect it, and what we can do during the incoming administration to keep it safe. Join us on December 17!

In this webinar, we will talk about:

  • What is Medicaid?
  • How does Medicaid help people with disabilities?
  • How is Medicaid paid for?
  • How did we fight Medicaid cuts in 2017? How can we stop them next year?

This webinar is open to everyone, but we especially want to invite self-advocates and allies to attend!

Register to join us on December 17 at 4-5:30pm ET. The webinar will last around 90 minutes. The webinar will be on Zoom and will have CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation). The webinar will also be shared on Youtube after.

If you have any questions or would like to request any additional accommodations such as ASL interpretation, please email dstrauss@autisticadvocacy.org by December 10.
