The Autistic Self Advocacy Network has expressed concern and disappointment over anti-vaccine activist Peter H. Bell’s appointment to the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities, in contrast to the forward motion the Obama administration has shown in the areas of autism and disability as a whole.
Sign the petition against school abuse
ASAN intern Lydia Brown started a petition against school abuse, which more than 150,000 people signed, after a teacher put an Autistic child in a bag with a drawstring in a school hallway. Lydia Brown was interviewed along with ASAN volunteer Landon Bryce for a national news article.
