The ASAN Publications Coordinator is in charge of the day-to-day and back-end operations of The Autistic Press (TAP), ASAN’s micropress. The Publications Coordinator serves as production editor for The Autistic Press and will usher completed manuscripts through the publication process, develop and oversee promotional strategies, coordinate all individuals involved in the publication process, and serve as point of contact on all matters pertaining to The Autistic Press.
Publications Coordinator is a volunteer position. ASAN volunteers receive direct supervision and extensive support from ASAN core staff; internships and college credit can be arranged.
We are looking for someone with prior publishing experience who is willing to lend their time and expertise towards the creation of a cross-disability publishing house capable of producing professional-quality materials emphasizing disability community, culture, and pride.
Time Commitment: Approximately 5-10 hours a week (15+ on launch weeks)
