In March, the Home- and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Settings Rule went into effect. This Rule is all about our right to receive services that are truly community-based and that respect our rights. It’s important to know your rights so you can make full use of them!
On the weekend of Saturday, April 22nd, we will be holding a two day training on the HCBS Settings Rule! Join us to talk about how the HCBS Settings Rule can protect our rights around long term services and support in our homes and communities. This training will prepare self advocates to inform people in their communities about the setting rule, and give strategies on what to do if your state is not following the rule.
This training will be in plain language.
This training will answer questions like:
- What is the HCBS Settings Rule?
- How can I find out what rights I have under the HCBS Rule?
- What do I do if my rights are violated?
- What are corrective action plans?
- When am I getting my rights?
And more!
The training will take place over Saturday, April 22 and Sunday April 23 and be broken into three sessions. All times are in Eastern Time
Saturday, April 22:
Session 1: 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm, Eastern Time
